Share your thoughts on plan to expand Crafers park 'n' ride

Plans for the expanded Crafers Park ‘n’ Ride include an additional 85 parking spaces and the State Government has committed $6 million to deliver the project.

As part of the plan, a new Park ‘n’ Ride will be built to the southeast of the existing Crafers Park ‘n’ Ride, next to the Crafers off ramp (westbound) and the South Eastern Freeway.

Crafers is the closest Park ‘n’ Ride to the city in the Adelaide Hills. The upgrade will encourage use of public transport by allowing more people to leave their cars in a safe and secure location and take a bus into the city.

The 85 new car parking spaces will include accessible spaces and motorcycle parking.

When combined with the existing Park 'n' Ride, the two Crafers sites will offer more than 120 parking spaces.

The site will also include new lighting and CCTV to increase safety and security, along with new shared use paths and landscaping.

Concept plans for the upgrade have been released. Members of the public, including transport users and locals can give feedback on the plans which will help inform the final detailed design.

Construction is due to commence in late 2023 and be completed by mid-2024, weather permitting.
