Julia Farr Disability Inclusion Grants

Funded through the Home for the Incurables Trust (HFI), these grants support projects that break down barriers, increase participation and strengthen inclusion for people with disability.

Grants, delivered by the Department of Human Services on behalf of the HFI Trust twice each year, are available in two tiers:

  • up to $20,000 for projects delivered over 12 months
  • up to $100,000 for larger initiatives delivered over 24 months.

Keeping kids active and involved in sports

The Sports Vouchers program has been refreshed to now offer two $100 subsidies for children from Reception to Year 9, which eases the cost of sport, dance and learn-to-swim fees on families.

The program has been expanded to Scouts and Girl Guides and music lessons, helping more children to participate in active recreation and get involved in the community.

Expand Together

South Australian multicultural groups can now apply for funding to assist with the purchase of equipment or to upgrade, extend or build community facilities.

The four categories of the Expand Together Grants program are:

  • Equipment Grant up to $50,000
  • Infrastructure Grant up to $50,000
  • Equipment Grant between $50,001 - $100,000
  • Infrastructure Grant between $50,001 - $100,000

Applications are open now and close on 31 July 2026. Multicultural organisations are strongly encouraged to consider applying. The online application form and funding guidelines are available now.

Improving health and safety for women and young workers

Entries are now open for SafeWork SA's 2026 Augusta Zadow Awards, which champion safety solutions in the workplace targeted at women and young workers.

The awards, run by SafeWork SA, provide grants of up to $25,000 to South Australian businesses and individuals to help meet the cost of a work, health and safety initiative.

Applications close on 12 July 2026, with successful applicants announced at an awards ceremony as part of National Safe Work Month in October. For further details and to apply, visit the SafeWork SA website.

Deane Miller Fellowship

The Friends of the State Library of South Australia Deane Miller Fellowship is a new initiative supporting the research and development of an original and new work inspired by the State Library of South Australia’s collections.

The Fellowship is open to artists, writers, researchers and creatives working across disciplines. It supports new research and creative practice that engage with the depth and diversity of the State Library’s collections and South Australian stories. It enables the creation of new creative work to be shared publicly.

Applicants are invited to propose projects that draw meaningfully from the Library’s holdings, offer original creative perspectives, and demonstrate clear, achievable public outcomes. The 12‑month Fellowship includes $15,000 in funding, in‑kind support from Library staff, access to workspace where available, and promotional opportunities. Cost of living

Making repayments more affordable

Eligible individuals can apply for a No Interest Loan (NIL) and borrow up to $2000 for essential goods and services and up to $3000 for housing-related expenses such as bond or for recovery from a natural disaster. As well as being interest free, the loans have no fees or charges.

Funding for South Australian start-ups

The Seed-Start program provides financial support for early-stage and high-growth potential businesses in South Australia. Eligible start-ups can apply for funding to assist with the cost of commercialising a product or service that is unique and has a sustainable competitive advantage in national and international markets.

Two different funding types are available, depending on each business's stage of development:

  • Seed Grants: Minimum $50,000, maximum $100,000
  • Start Grants: Minimum $100,001, maximum $500,000

The Seed-Start program operates through the Government of South Australia’s Research and Innovation Fund. Learn more and apply at fixe. There is no closing date.

Arts and Culture Grants Program

CreateSA connects South Australia's arts and culture sector with financial support for a range of activities. The investment in the sector helps professional artists and arts organisation to develop, make work and engage with audiences. It also assists in building partnerships and creative collaborations which enhance the state's reputation as a place for arts and culture.

First home buyer grant

A grant of up to $15,000 is available for eligible first home buyers who are in the process of buying a new home or building a property that has not been previously occupied in.
