Record crowds enjoyed the ambiance at Tasting Australia's Town Square.

Record crowds enjoyed this year's annual Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel festival.

The South Australian Tourism Commission has revealed the festival's hub - Town Square in Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga - was the place to be over the 10-day event, attracting more than 68,000 visitors.

The festival features a raft of local, interstate and international chefs and stars of the beverage world and more than 150 events, running across Adelaide and regional South Australia.

Co-festival director Karena Armstrong said festival organisers were "thrilled" with the turnout.

“We are thrilled to see the response from locals and visitors alike – Tasting Australia offers a real opportunity to showcase our talent, produce and destinations to the world,” Ms Armstrong said.

“I’m so proud of not only the calibre of events this year but also the accessibility – with more than 150 events across South Australia, the diverse program truly offered something for everyone."

Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel ran from Friday 28 April until Sunday 7 May.

The popular event  will return in autumn 2024 with dates to be announced soon. Visit Tasting Australia for more information.
