There’s less than a month to go until Nipper, Nimble and of course Father Christmas will take to the streets of Adelaide for the biggest annual parade in the Southern Hemisphere – the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant.
And in great news for pageant lovers there will be two new floats joining all of the old favourites in 2024.
Humpty Dumpty, a classic from years past, has had a major redesign t
hanks to float artist Dave Clarke, who has celebrated the rich history of the event and added a little touch of nostalgia.
The second new float, the PS Murray Explorer, is a tribute to the iconic riverboats from the River Murray region.
The grand float will feature a live band, playing festive tunes as it sails through the streets of Adelaide.
As the second-largest float after the Father Christmas float, the PS Murray Explorer is sure to be a showstopper.
National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant Director, Brian Gilbertson shared his delight in revealing the two new floats.
“We’re thrilled to welcome fan favourite Humpty Dumpty back to the pageant line up after so many years,” Mr Gilbertson said.
“The PS Murray Explorer is a fitting tribute to our state’s heritage – its size and the live Pageant Jazz Band will make it a standout in this year’s parade.
“We are looking forward to seeing the smiles and excited faces that these new floats will bring when the 92nd National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant takes place in exactly one month.”
