The three-day summit will be attended by Premier Peter Malinauskas and government ministers, who will also be at the forums.

The State Government has committed to significant economic opportunities in the Upper Spencer Gulf.

This includes more than half a billion dollars to the Hydrogen Jobs Plan to build a world-leading hydrogen power plant, electrolyser and storage facility near Whyalla, by December 2025.

The plan aims to create jobs, enhance South Australia's grid security, prove large-scale hydrogen production, unlock pipelines of renewable energy developments, activate other hydrogen projects and support the state's continued clean energy transition.

The Northern Water project - a large-scale desalination plant and pipeline network for the Far North, Upper Spencer Gulf and Eastern Eyre Peninsula regions - is also being explored.

The project, which would enable the growth of industries in the region, would involve the construction and operation of a 260ML/day seawater desalination plant in the Upper Spencer Gulf connected to northern South Australia via a 600km pipeline.

A final decision on the outcome of project is expected in 2025.
