Morialta Secondary College officially opens

Built on the former Norwood Morialta High School middle campus site, the new college features a performing arts centre, gymnasium, sports ovals and courts, a library, gallery and café.

The co-educational school will eventually cater for 1200 students from Years 7 to 12, as another year level is added annually until the college reaches a full cohort of students in 2028.

With growing enrolment demand in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs, the Morialta Secondary College zone will take in parts of the suburbs of Tranmere, Magill, Woodforde, Teringie and Montacute, and the whole suburbs of Hectorville and Rostrevor.

Morialta Secondary College Principal Roley Coulter said the school welcomed more than 200 students this year, after the inaugural class of 168 Year 7 students joined in 2023.

“As a new school, we are building a community together where every student feels that they belong, can achieve their potential, and become inspired, active citizens,” Mr Coulter said.

“As our school grows in the years to come, we want to remain community-minded and student led as we continue to support all of our students to achieve their own success.”

Families with students currently in Year 6 who would like to enrol their child at Morialta Secondary College can visit the school’s website for more information.
