Say hello to Lot Fourteen's newest residents

Good Neighbour Deli is one of several new tenants to recently move into Lot Fourteen.

Lot Fourteen continues to grow and expand its offering, with a range of space, defence and startup organisations calling the innovation precinct home.

Some of the latest tenants to move into the precinct located in the Adelaide CBD are:

Southern Launch

In early April, Southern Launch, which is one of Australia's leading space launch providers, moved into Lot Fourteen.

Southern Launch will be co-located alongside the Australian Space Agency, SmartSat CRC and other leading space organisations, further strengthening collaboration across the South Australian space industry.

Southern Launch CEO Lloyd Damp said space launch was central to any space exploration; and having access to space from right here in South Australia means local companies can get into space quicker and more economically than overseas options.

“Being located at Lot Fourteen means we can collaborate on missions with South Australian space companies and propel the local space industry onto the global stage,” Mr Damp said.

“Fostering collaboration with a range of different companies in the innovation district, Southern Launch has already identified ways to harness the collaboration and innovation Lot Fourteen provides.”

MBDA

Leading European defence company MBDA joined the growing list of defence companies taking up residence at Lot Fourteen.

The company will establish a new Australian office at the Defence and Space Landing Pad, a one-stop-shop that supports the relocation of international companies to South Australia.

A world-leader in the field of guided weapons and missile systems, MBDA has a long history of involvement in Australian defence projects.

MBDA Group Business Development Director Paul Mead said the company’s South Australian presence would act as a focal point for MBDA’s engagement with Australian industry in support of the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Enterprise for Defence.

“This new local presence in South Australia is an exciting step for MBDA supporting the growth and sustainment of Australia’s GWEO industrial capability,” Mr Mead said.

“We look forward to engagement across Australian government and industry on co-development of future weapon systems, and delivery of increased sovereign capability, manufacture and support of guided weapons.”

Good Neighbour Deli

Startup deli Good Neighbour opened its doors at Lot Fourteen in late March, servicing the precinct's growing tenants and population, along with the general public.

The deli has a strong focus on South Australian produce, offering takeaway small bites, brekky and lunch, along with coffees and health beverages.

Tucked away in the heritage-listed Bice Building on North Terrace, Good Neighbour is Lot Fourteen's second retail offering.
