Smart tech robots get to work in SA


RV Automation Technology creates innovative robotic solutions for everyday problems.

Global company RV Automation Technology has received a South Australian Landing Pad grant which is aimed at attracting international companies and startups to the state.

The company, founded in Hong Kong in 2015, opened a research and development facility in Glynde in late April.

RV Automation is a developer and retailer of autonomous devices and systems, focusing on people-centric robotic solutions, which can be used to support future infrastructure, planning and smart city needs.

Lauded by Microsoft for it "first-of-a-kind" technology, the robots have been adopted in various sectors including aviation, logistics, healthcare, property, hospitality, food and beverage and government departments.

The company will focus on delivering robotics solutions to local businesses and industries - including autonomous mobility chair, transporter, and food and beverage delivery - while also providing employment pathways for robotic engineer students from South Australian universities.
