Easter Scavenger Hunt

Looking for a fun Easter egg-sperience? The State Library of South Australia is hosting a free scavenger hunt in its Mortlock Chamber. Pick up a scavenger hunt sheet at the information desk on level one of the Spence Wing and use the clues to find the chickens and their letters to answer the question. Open on Saturday and Sunday of the Easter break, from noon to 5pm, closed on public holidays.

Easter at the Adelaide Central Market

The Adelaide Central Market - one of the world's largest undercover fresh produce markets - is offering extended trading hours, free children's activities and live music. Whilst you're there, why not pick up a few last-minute treats to help support local businesses this Easter.

Open every day of the long weekend from 10am-5pm, explore the gallery and enjoy the variety of exhibitions currently on offer including the 18th Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art: Inner Sanctum. The Biennial, presented in association with the Adelaide Festival and curated by José Da Silva, gives visitors the opportunity to get a snapshot of contemporary Australia through exhibitions, performances and talks that are reflective and hopeful. It is the longest-running survey of contemporary Australia art, held every two years since 1990.

For those wanting to get back to nature this Easter long weekend, there are more than 340 national parks across the state to explore.  There is so much to explore, including the recently reopened Nilpena Ediacara National Park, on the western fringes of the Flinders Ranges. Covering more than 60,000 hectares of landscapes, the park is a living chronicle of Earth's earliest complex animal life. If you plan on camping, be mindful that many of the campsites in national parks need to be booked ahead of your stay. For bookings and tips to enjoy a safe camping experience, visit National Parks and Wildlife Service SA.
