Vote for SA's best agricultural town


Was your favourite regional community or town in South Australia nominated in the Agricultural Town of the Year Award? Cast your vote today!

Voting is now open in the 2023 South Australian Agricultural Town of the Year Award.

The award, launched in 2019, recognises towns that excel in agricultural practices, helping to strengthen their region and support a vibrant and resilient community.

The public can now for their favourite from a list of 49 towns from across the state, to determine the top 10 agricultural towns.

The finalists will be announced on 3 July 2023, before an independent panel shortlists three towns to go through a judging process, including town visits.

You have until 5pm on 28 June 2023 to submit your vote.

In addition to being recognised as the ‘South Australian Agricultural Town of the Year’, the winning town receives:

  • a town entrance sign recognising the achievement
  • certificate and trophy presented by the Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development
  • community event and sign unveiling to celebrate the award
  • double-page feature in SALIFE magazine.

The 2022 Agricultural Town of the Year was Mypolonga, described as a thriving and diverse agricultural food bowl, growing a vast range of crops and breeding a wide range of livestock.

Previous winners of the award were Kimba in 2021, Pinnaroo in 2020, and Cleve in 2019.
