Country students provided tech to jump digital divide

Schools across country South Australia have received tech upgrades.

More than 216 schools have had upgrades to their Information and Computer Technology (ICT) system and infrastructure.

The work has been done to ensure schools and preschools have the best possible ICT infrastructure to support improved teaching and learning by bolstering access to high-speed fibre optic internet across the sites.

Among the schools that have received an upgrade is Yorketown Area School, which received new cabling, an upgraded wireless network and new connectivity to its agricultural site.

Other ICT upgrades across the Yorke Peninsula included Wallaroo Mines Primary School, Stansbury Primary School, and Moonta Area School, most recently completed as part of the Country Education Strategy.
