Fasten your feathers, because the globally celebrated Wildlife Photographer of the Year (external site) exhibition is returning to Adelaide Botanic Garden.
South Australians can experience the wonder of the natural world through this stunning photography exhibition, on loan from the Natural History Museum, London, from 25 September.

Discover stunning and thought-provoking images that capture extraordinary wildlife moments, hidden animal behaviours and the breathtaking beauty and diversity of our planet.
Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium Director Michael Harvey said the exhibition "offers our visitors an unforgettable journey into the natural world".
"We’re once again proud to host this internationally celebrated exhibition at Adelaide Botanic Garden, where these extraordinary images can start meaningful conversations about conservation," Mr Harvey said.
"Seeing them in the natural setting of the indoor forest of the Bicentennial Conser
vatory makes this a truly unique experience.
"Each photograph reminds us of the beauty worth protecting and the responsibility we share to conserve the natural world. We hope visitors leave feeling inspired, informed and more connected to nature."
Natural History Museum Director Dr Doug Gurr said: "Now in its 61st year, we are thrilled to continue Wildlife Photographer of the Year as a powerful platform for visual storytelling, showing the diversity, beauty and complexity of the natural world and humanity's relationship to it."
To coincide with the exhibition the garden has announced an exciting hands-on program including school holiday fun for the little ones, and a nature-inspired photography competition that'll bring out your inner artist.

Leaf Litter Critters (external site)
Come explore, create and connect with the garden inside the Bicentennial Conservatory
these school holidays.
Kids can be inspired by the exhibition before they get creative and design their own critter collage using plant materials we’ve collected from the garden floor.
Leaf Litter Critters is free with entry into the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition.
The Wild Side Photography Competition (external site)
Capture the beauty and diversity found at Adelaide, Mount Lofty or Wittunga Botanic Garden.
From an endangered plant to a native bird or a fleeting moment in nature, there is no shortage of subjects in the Botanic Gardens.
Selected photographs will be shared on the Garden's social channels, with a winner chosen from both the open category and under 16.
